Greg and Pamela Berthume are the founders of Berthume Enterprises, LLC.
We have four children and have homeschooled since 1993. We began homeschooling in Florida, and have since homeschooled in SC, CA, OH and IL. We have finally settled down in beautiful upstate South Carolina. (We can now claim expert status when it comes to moving, but we do not wish to exercise these skills ever again!) We love our home in Simpsonville, SC, which backs up to a nature preserve. Being able to see God's creation every time we look out our window is truly awesome and helps to constantly remind us of our Creator!
We are richly blessed with our children. Our oldest son Robby was homeschooled all the way through high school and is currently pursuing an MBA on the side (via Liberty University in VA) while running his business. He met and married the love of his life, Kathryn, at Liberty. Robby owns a very successful business (www.epsilonconcepts.com) which he started at the ripe old age of 15. We are very proud of Robby and he is a testament to the enormous benefits of homeschooling.
Brittney is our 16 year old daughter who’s awesome personality and liveliness makes her super fun to be around. She is very talented in sports, especially basketball and softball. She is currently a junior. She truly brightens up every room (and building) she enters and everyone loves her instantly.
J.Jay, (stands for Joshua Jay), is our brilliant (and that would be an understatement) eleven year old son who was born on Valentine’s Day! Born with the gift of compassion, he also brings the heart to the family. He is an extremely talented and gifted pianist, a science maniac, and... a fast-talker! He will discuss any topic with you for hours.
Our youngest is a miracle-child. Ask us about the story of his birth some day and you will quickly agree to that statement! He is our absolutely adorable 6 year old son, Elijah. The cutest, sweetest, big brown-eyed, blonde haired boy on the planet! (At least according to his mom, who he's recently been calling "Sweetie".) After four previous miscarriages over the years, they feel very blessed by each of their children. Completing their family are two Golden Retrievers, a cat and a turtle.
Pamela is also the author of Homeschooling | The Journey is The Reward. This book is the culmination of her heartfelt ministry and passion which is to encourage other homeschooling parents. Her passion and excitement is contagious and results in her being a gifted and entertaining speaker at various homeschool conventions as well. She loves to write articles, stories, and books, and is a thought-provoking poet - especially on the topic of homeschooling! If you would like schedule her to speak at a homeschool convention or event, please contact her at pamela@homeschoolopoly.com.
is the newest division of Berthume Enterprises. While playing another specialty "OPOLY" game on their 22nd Anniversary getaway in Gatlinburg, TN, Greg had a major "Aha!" moment. "There should be a Homeschoolopoly game!" he said. And well... It’s all history from there. Or as they say, HIS story as "Homeschoolopoly" and the entire process from creation to manufacturing and bringing it to market has been a total "God Thing". God has and continues to open doors, give incredible insights and ideas, and has led and guided Berthume Enterprises through the entire process.
Berthume Software is where it all began in 2002 (Greg has developed software professionaly for over 20 years) with the original vision being to design, develop and market a powerful, easy to use, and affordable customer relationship management system integrated with project management. cpTracker is the result of this vision. It has allowed us to follow our hearts and focus more of our time and efforts towards the homeschooling community. Visit www.Berthume.com for more information. www.brokersplus.net is another big project of Berthume Software.

In 2005 Greg and Pamela launched HomeschoolersConnecting.com as a ministry to homeschoolers with the vision to "Unite Homeschoolers Worldwide". The primary purpose of HomeschoolingConnecting.com is to bring homeschoolers together via it's CONNECT! online community. It is totally free. |
In essence ... an online community is a gathering of people who are reaching out through their computers to communicate with others who have similar needs and interests.
Homeschooling children can sometimes be an overwhelming and isolating experience. Support groups are helpful but aren't always easy to access, particularly if you live in a rural area or have a busy schedule (homeschoolers busy? Yeah right! ha ha) that doesn't permit you to attend regularly. Increasingly, parents are going online and joining Internet-based communities that focus on parenting and educating children.
We also encourage local area support groups to utilize this safe homeschool-friendly community for communication for their group without having to reinvent the wheel and establish their own website or use one of the advertising heavy free solutions such as Yahoo and Google. If you are interested, contact us via homeschoolersconnecting.com for details on having a dedicated forum for your group.
